Owen Garibaldi
« on: December 11, 2013, 09:01:51 pm »
Full name of Character: Owen Garibaldi
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Social class: low class
Class: Soldier

Physical Appearance: Average height and build, but a crooked nose from where it was broken repeatedly and wasn't allowed to heal properly.  Has a very small scar across his chin, but otherwise his face isn't marred.   Wears medium black armor with a brown tench coat and a khaki slouch hat.  Favors the M-96 Mattock.
Age: 25
Eye Color: Blue eyes
Hair color length and style: Short black hair, military style cut
Skin tone and type: Fair, but usually tanned.  Has somewhat hairy arms and legs.
Distinguishing marks: Small tattoo of white cross with a red background on the underside of his left wrist http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2b/CoA_House_of_Savoy_crowned.svg. Small tattoo of a yolk and arrows on the underside of the right wrist  http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a2/Yoke_and_Arrows.svg

Personality: Loyal to his friends, but quick to make new ones easily.  Tends to be a bit more relaxed than his friend Flanagan was.  Dislikes killing 'non combatants,' so follows a sort of ROE.  Will kill, however, if necessary.
Greatest Strength: Loyalty, a decent marksman; a good follower
Greatest Weakness: Dislikes taking responsibility or leadership positions
Soft spot: 'Non-combatants'
Biggest Vulnerability: Probably a little too soft to be an effective pirate

Personal History: Served on the same gun crew as Flanagan aboard the SSV Orizaba; unlike Flanagan he was able to follow the chain of command and was able to secure advancement.  However, under ill-advice from his retention officer, he left the service during a draw down period and found himself out of a job.  Unlike Flanagan who at least attempted to get onto an honest career path, Joseph took the dive into criminality with gusto.  He soon found himself working security with a salarian smuggler.  Things went well for about two years, until the smuggler was killed by his contact and his crew was impressed into service of a pirate crew.

Now Joseph finds himself forced to the bottom rung of a pirate crew and scraping a meager living from the crewman's share.

Traits: Loyal, friendly.  Learned shanties from his old shipmate Flanagan.
Optimist or pessimist? Optimist
Introvert or extrovert? Extrovert
Drives and motives: Survival for now; improving his situation.  Possibly getting out of this crew or at least into a better position on it.
Talents: A marksman, follows orders and tends to get the job done
Character flaws: Follows orders to the letter, seldom displays his own initiative.

SSV Orizaba huh? Did he ever run into Issac Wilson, who might've already been the Captain by that. Time?

If he did, it was probably just a salute.  I picked the Orziba because of all the mountain named Dreadnaughts that I knew survived the war, I liked it best.
