"Is that the tram ahead?" Ivix asked, looking at the heavily melted door before them. "I really hope that's not indicative of the tram itself."

(Jesus I need to sleep. Sorry guys. I got some studying n' **** to do.)

Checking the fallen, Ilste found a familiar Paladin pistol. "Been a while since I've shot these, but at least I know how to shoot it." Ilste searched the other pistols, and was fortunate to find a capacitance booster for the weapon.

(Hah, glad you laughed.  It was the first language I could think of that didn't have the same ABCDE alphabet.)

South kept up with the group, picking up as much ammo for his shotgun as he could along the way. He'd only used hunting shotguns before, and he had a harder time keeping his his aim on without a solid cheek rest. or a stock for that matter.

"I don't suppose you brought a Benelli with you, or perhaps an M-23 S?"

"It's not to bad and the fire rate is good, But I'd rather have something with a stock. This pistol grip is awful."

"Prefer two. I don't like walking in this dry weather, and the my suit only compensates so much."

"Right-o," Flanagan said, donning a mask, "The company spent a fair amount on these; they should last a full day if maintenance was kept regularly, so any complaints are not my department."

The quarian spectre candidate was obviously in charge, so Flanagan turned to him, "So what's the plan--afterwards I mean. I wouldn't mind hearing how you intend to save the girls, but assuming we find the girls alive and can get ourselves out, what'll happen here?"  He cut to a point, "I've got no loyalty to the company--you want testimony, you've got it." 

From behind the bar, Kat, Katrin, Mitch and Sean kept watch over the Colt, the last safe place in Kat/Katrin's consciousness. The three without a bloody great double-barreled shotgun each carried a small Colt Revolver, and each time the Bug-Katrin returned, they put it down. However, they knew they couldn't keep her away forever, as the whispers tore at Katrin's mind..

"Like hell I will!" Kat yelled over the counter, firing at the latest apparition and taking it's head clear off.

"Kat," Katrin said. "She called us, 'Child of the split mind.' Do you think that's why she wants in so bad? Because our mind is so fractured?"

"Don't be silly." the other mind replied. "I bet Isani's going through this exact same thing. We're going to kick this **** out of our head, save Isani, and get the hell of this planet. Then, we're going to take a nice holiday to a desert planet. Just you and me, nobody else."

"What if that's the problem? That there is two of us in here?" Katrin said. "What if, we have to become whole again to escape, what if... One of us needs to die?"

"Don't talk like that!" Kat yelled, grabbing Katrin's shoulders. "Listen to me. We're getting out of here. Both of us, and no psychic bug queen **** is stopping us, got it?"

"Kat. If it comes to it. Make sure you're the one to get out..." Katrin replied, tears coming to her eyes. "You've got so much more to live for, and I'm just a traumatized wreck, along for the ride."
