Icarus took note of the shuttle and it's passengers and concluded this shuttle was the one that would be taking the researchers to the ExoGeni research facility and acted accordingly. It hacked into the shuttle's main computer and triggered a common software bug which would keep the shuttle from taking off until the pilots had reset the computer. While the crew were distracted, It placed a small tracking beacon on the inner side of the shuttle's rear thruster. An unlikely location. Icarus already knew where the shuttle was headed, but he would take no chances with potentially false information. Once the bug was placed, It moved quickly out of the area before it's cloak had to recharge.
